Hi my friends!
It's been non-stop for me these past few days! I've had tons of work and I also had my aunt here visiting from California.
On Saturday, I got to scrap with Ady, Lou and Barb at Damaris's house and we had a blast. It was so good to see you girls! I got five layouts done. I worked on some submissions so I cannot post them here on my blog, but I promise to post some LO's soon... I miss sharing my work with y'all. :-) Damaris, that "mofongo" was awesome! Oh, the "arroz con gandules" and "pollo asado" was pretty good, too. LOL!
This past weekend, my DH and I also went to Sanibel Island since his family rented a condo for the weekend and we had a good time hanging out at the beach. We're hoping to go back there during the 4th of July weekend.
Today I'm off to Central America for work and I will not be back till Thursday so I will blog again then and I'll post some new pics and layouts, too!
Hugs to all and happy scrapping!

Happy Monday!
It's 7 am and I should be getting ready for work instead of blogging. Richard kindly reminded me of that not too long ago. :-) Thanks honey, BUT I can't help it!
A very cool thing is happening today... OK, well I think it's pretty cool! Check out the Making Memories blog to see a photo of my featured layout using the new Noteworthy collection.
I was given three patterned papers, a pack of beautiful ribbon, some delicious die cuts and glitter alphas and asked to create a layout. I loved working with the new Delaney line. Making Memories has always been one of my favorites!
I'd love to hear from you so please tell me what you think of my LO...

In other news, I've had a great weekend with family and I even made it to the beach on Sunday with my BFF and some friends. We took some cute photos, which I will post later on this week, as well as pics of some new LO's that I've been working on... I've been playing with the new Heidi Swapp papers and embellies from the Scrapbook DUI May kit. LOVE it all!
Life has just been a little crazy and next week I am off traveling for work...again!
Thanks for stopping by. Peace to all and happy scrapping!

Making Memories is featuring ME!!!
How cool is that???
Check out the Making Memories blog on Monday, May 19 to see the layout I created using the new MM Noteworthy collection. They gave me an assignment and I was thrilled to be considered for this. I had so much fun playing with the patterned papers, glitter alphas, die cuts and ribbons. I love all of their stuff and I know you are going to love it, too. Here's the info that MM sent out in their May newsletter...
It's a Blogger Crop-Off
We searched far and wide (and of course, then vetted) three talented bloggers who wanted to compete one-on-one-on-one, to create three completely different looks all using the same fabulous Noteworthy supplies.
We asked Vanessa S., Davinie F., and Shawna W. -- all bloggers who have been kind enough to link their blog to Making Memories -- to use the exact same paper and embellishments to create page layouts offering unique perspectives.
Start watching the Making Memories blog on May 19 to see the beautiful results from this fun and fascinating challenge.

And if you're looking to get your hands on some of these Making Memories goodies, check out the June kit from Work in Progress. It's absolutely gorgeous and filled to the brim with delicious must-have goodies... :-)
Thanks to all of you for stopping by... Your comments make me smile! Peace to all and happy scrapping!

A couple of layouts...
Just a quick post to share a couple of layouts I made using the April kit from Scarlet Lime. I love the bright colors and fun embellishments in this kit. :-)
The top layout was inspired by the Scarlet Lime gallery. That's my cousin's little girl playing inside a bounce house with my aunt (her grandma). I love the expression on her face and even though the second photo is blurry, it really captures all the fun they were having.
The bottom layout is the one that I wasn't 100% thrilled with, but it's done! I do love these photos of my Mami taken in California when we visited back in 2006. So glad she is here in Florida now!
Till next time... Peace and happy scrapping!

Happy National Scrapbook Day (eh, weekend!)
I hope you all had the opportunity to do something fun and creative this weekend in celebration of Nat'l Scrapbook Day. I know I did!
Yesterday, I spent the day scrapping with Ady and Damaris at our LSS. We had lots of fun and laughed a lot! I was tired from picking up my hubs at the airport at 4 am (looong story... don't you just love the airlines and their crazy rescheduling and cancelling of flights?!) and then I have had this pain in my arm, probably related to a pinched nerve, that my hubs likes to call "Scrapbook Arm." I don't think so! LOL!
Well, anyway, back to the fun stuff. I made a few LO's with my delicious April kit from The Scarlet Lime using some very pretty pics of my cousin's little ones and my grandma. I'll try to post some visuals for you soon... I also worked on a project for Making Memories that I have to turn in this coming week. I loved working with some of their new papers and embellies. Their entire line ROCKS!!!
I finished about 5 LO's, 4 of which I'm really happy with! You know there's always one late in the day that just doesn't turn out as you had hoped... LOL!
Anyway, now for some eye candy... Check out the new Cocoa Daisy kit that I'm getting this month. So soft and pretty, and perfect for Mother's Day. I love the vintage feel it has...
I also got my Scrapbook Designs Unlimited kit handed to me yesterday by my dear friend, Damaris, which is full of Heidi Swapp goodness and I cannot wait to PLAY with it. Whoohoo!!!
On a much more serious note, THANK YOU to all of you for your sweet messages and emails. Last week was a difficult one because my friend Jeanie's disease has truly affected me. She is a wonderful friend and she is going through a lot right now. I have been at the hospital with her a few nights this past week and she is slowly getting better, but she still has no feeling on the right side, particularly her leg and arm. I hope and pray that she heels through therapy, but most importantly, I pray that God gives her the strength to fight this and have a positive outlook on her life even though it seems tough right now.
Hugs to all!
