Lots of Scrappy Goodness!

Look at these oh-so-cool add-on goodies from Cocoa Daisy! Kristina Contes selected her favorite products for the Aug. kit, and these are just a couple of the add-ons I like (don't you just love those Hambly circles). Tricia does such a fabulous job putting everything together. Go check them all out now...Wow!

Yes, I'm addicted to Cocoa Daisy, but I've also discovered a new kit club that I love (well, it's not new, but I just found it!). Of course, the July kit that I fell in love with is sold out already, but it's chock-full of scrappy goodness and Kristina Contes and Nisa Fiin are on the design team. It's called Those Were the Days. Can't wait to see what comes up for August. I'll definitely be checking it out.

In the meantime, I have other goodies coming my way, including stuff from Work in Progress and the It Kit Studio. Check this out. I better get scrapping!!!

Well, I'm off to go watch some movies and hang with Mami... She's feeling better and I'm taking care of her this weekend! :-)

My Latest Creations

Hi my friends!

It's been a busy couple of days...Last Friday night, I made my best friend this birthday card (it's a scraplift from the Scrapologie gallery). Isn't it cute? I had to go to both JoAnn's and Michael's to find the tag and the perfect black and white polka dot ribbon, but it was well worth it!

On Sunday, I got to scrap ALL DAY! How fun! I worked on my Clearly Cutting Edge Album from Pageframe Designs that I got at CKC-Ft. Lauderdale. And last night, I put the finishing touches on it. Here's a peek...To see the entire album, just go to my Scrap in Style TV gallery. This was such a fun project and I'm really happy with the result. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Happy scrapping!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my BFF!!!

Happy Birthday, Yayi! I feel like we've been celebrating your birthday for a while...oh wait, we have been! I hope you enjoy your day and get lots of goodies because you deserve the best (yes, even my Trestle Desk if you so desire! LOL!)

This past weekend was great! I got some much-needed pampering on Saturday with a manicure, pedicure and I got my hair done, too. That night we went to Lighthouse Point in Pompano Beach and took a little boat ride out to a historic seafood restaurant called Cap's Place. Can you say Gilligan's Island??? It was a fun-filled night with LOTS of pictures! And yes, my hair did get a little frizzy with all of the humidity here in SoFla, but I managed. :-)

Yesterday, I got to scrap all day with my friends Yayi and Rena. We got together to celebrate Yayi's b-day and I worked on my clear album by Pageframe Designs. I am 99% done with the album and it looks fabulous. I LOVE the concept of an acrylic album so much! WOW!!! I can't wait to post pics of it later in the week...

So long for now! Happy scrapping!

What color girl are you?

I found this on Anilu's blog. I answered the questions and I think it came pretty close to describing my personality. Pretty cool. Try it!

You Are A Blue Girl

Relationships and feelings are the most important things to you.
You are empathetic and accepting - and good at avoiding conflict.
If someone close to you is in pain, it makes you hurt as well.
You try to heal the ones you love with your kind and open heart.

CHA Sneak Peeks

I found some more goodies to share with you all from Heidi Swapp, Scenic Route and Queen & Co. I just love all the new stuff coming out! What are some of your favorite new products??? :-)

Just for fun! What dessert are you?

OK, I went to this website and answered a few questions to see what dessert I was most like...This is the result I got...Hmm...Try it! It's cute.

You Are Cheesecake

Rich, sweet, and simply perfect.
You're not boring - you're just the best!

August Kit from Cocoa Daisy is up now!

Check out this beauty that includes some of Kristina Contes' favorite products! Wow! I can't wait to get all this yummy stuff and see what wonderful stuff she creates...It even includes an acrylic album.

This coming weekend is my BFF's b-day. How exciting! She's gonna get lots of goodies coming her way. We're celebrating her special day by scrapping on Sunday. We plan to work on our clear album by Pageframe Designs that we got at CKC. It's going to be a fun weekend! :-)

I just LOVE scrapping, blogging and creating. This blog has been such a great experience for me. I look forward to posting new stuff and sharing with you all the scrappy goodness, as well as the everyday. So to all my scrappy friends — both old and new — THANK YOU for your comments and well wishes. Just so you now, my grandma is recovering and we're enjoying our time with her...

Simply Mami, Simply Beautiful

Today has been a looong day. I spent the entire day with my family at the hospital. My grandma who raised me hasn't been doing well. She was having trouble breathing this morning so my aunt Mae called 911. We have watched her get worse over time and it is emotionally draining and frustrating to see our little Mami not enjoying the quality of life she once had. She's 81 and I know that this will not be easy. She suffers from dymentia and has congestive heart failure. At the hospital we discovered she developed pneumonia and had fluid in her lungs. We had no clue. She seems to be stable now, but please keep her in your prayers.

This is the layout I just created for the One Little Word challenge: Simplicity. I got inspired at about 10 pm because I thought it would be therapeutic to create a layout about Mami. It reads: Simply Mami, Simply Beautiful. I used my very cool 7Gypsies stamps and I cut up a folder I received that was part of a Vera Bradley press kit. I really liked the reversible design pattern. I love the way this page turned out. It's got to be one of my faves.

I'm so exhausted. It's just after midnight and I need to get some sleep. Good night!

CKU-Orlando

Yippee!!! I got my classes for CKU-Orlando. I cannot believe that just 20 minutes after registration started classes were already booked. I rushed home from Curves and turned my computer on at about 7:55 pm. At 8:02 I was well on my way to registering and I was lucky to get all my classes. Then I called Ady (my BFF) to see if she was registering, too. Poor thing, she was still trying to get home because her grandma's in the hospital. I logged in for her shortly after and quickly picked her classes, but two of them were already unavailable. Luckily, I had the list of classes she was interested in and picked two alternates for her. I was done. It felt like a mini-marathon. It was just 8:27 when I logged back in to double-check that my schedule was correct (paranoid little me) and that's when I noticed that at least nine classes were already booked, including Shooting Through the Ages with Candice Stringham, Flourish with Fancy and Tim Holtz's classes. And now Ali's album workshop is also sold out for Saturday. Whew! I need a Xanax. (kidding, of course!).

So here's the list of classes that I'm taking: Campus crop on Thurs. night; Note Worthy (Making Memories); Paint Outside the Lines with Tim Holtz; Shooting Through the Ages with Candice Stringham; Sketches with Becky Higgins; Flourish with Fancy! (Fancy Pants); and last but certainly not least...A Week of the Life album workshop with Ali Edwards.

I'm totally psyched. How exciting!

Now to another fun scrappy subject...Have you seen It Kit Studio yet? The monthly kit is sold out, but they also have this limited edition project kit that includes eight Amy Butler papers, a nine-inch Tin Star, vintage velvet ribbon, mini pom trim, a variety of fun buttons and full instructions for completing the project. I saw this in the SIS TV gallery and loved it! Now I have one coming my way! :-)

Kristina Contes and Cocoa Daisy

Kristina Contes is going to be the guest designer for the August Cocoa Daisy kit! Yeah! The kit will consist of her favorite products. I'm so excited. :-)

Ok, gotta go pick my classes for CKU!!!

My new layout and...anxiously awaiting CKU

I made this page today (and uploaded it to my SIS TV gallery, of course!). Isn't it cool? I had fun making it because it's different. I used acrylic paints for the background and the chipboard, then I doodled and used Heidi Swapp tape (4 of them actually). I even added a funky heart that I received in a press package at work. Just wanted to PLAY. Tomorrow is The Police concert. My DH is going to have so much fun with Jorge and his other buddies.

I'm also trying to get prepared for CKU-Orlando. So many classes, so little time. I went into the class list for Nashville and I definitely want to do Ali's album track, but I haven't selected the classes I like yet. Registration starts Wednesday night so the clock is ticking. I just wish that the link to the Orlando classes was enabled...I'll let you know what I pick...

Good night, my friends!

Some very cool eye candy

Hello there!

Heidi Swapp just had her baby yesterday, on 07-07-07! Isn't that cool? Of course, the baby is adorable. Check out pics on her blog! I really love Heidi's products, especially the bling, chipboard letters, journaling spots, stamps, okay, everything! She's so amazingly talented. Oh, and did you know there's a ClubHeidi kit club now, too? It's already sold out, but here's a photo for your enjoyment...

I'm soooo excited that I cannot contain myself (alright, maybe I can but it's hard!). I saw Scrapologie's sneak peek for August and I LOVE Anahata's art that Ranjini is incorporating into her kits.

You can see more creative goodies at Papayalicious.com, incuding some of Anahata's artistic creations...

And here's more eye candy for you!!! Lisa Pace created this stunning new Maya Road album that's filled with new products that will debut at CHA (more pics are on her blog) and I love it.

And, yes, I'm still LOVING playing over at Scrap in Style TV whenever I can. The talent over there is amazing and it's so much fun. I've interacted with people from all over the world and I have some very cool favorite SISters. It's truly a happy place :-) Check out my SIS TV portfolio!

Okay, I think that's all for now. I'm taking care of my cute, little Mami (grandma) and she just woke up so I am going to go spoil her and make her morning coffee (maybe I'll even make French Toast, which is one of the few things I DO make really yummy!).

Happy scrappin to all!

Some cool scrappy links

Hi, my friends!

How to Post a Comment on My Blog

First of all, some of you have been trying to figure out how to leave me comments on my blog. It's super-easy!

Just click on “comments” right under each post, leave me your message, select “other” if you don’t have a Google account, and just type in your name and hit “publish your comment." That’s all.

Scrap in Style TV

This website is so cool! Here's a direct link to my profile and if you scroll all the way down you can see some of my recent layouts from this week. I learned about this site from Anilu and now Ady also has a profile that she set up after she saw how much fun I was having :-)

Click here to view my SIS TV profile and gallery.

CHA Sneak Peek

Check out Natasja’s blog! She’s from the Netherlands and I found her on SIS TV’s message board. Apparently she knows all of the newest stuff that’s debuting at the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association Show) and she has tons of great stuff posted so you can get your fill of eye candy! Here are just a couple of the items posted on her blog...

I'm dying to scrapbook! I have so many cool projects on my mind that I will need to make some time next week and create some cool stuff.

Have a great weekend and happy scrappin! :-)

I hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July!

We took it easy and enjoyed a barbecue with friends. Yayi, Jorge, D and Emilio came over and we had yummy food and even better company to share the evening!!! Here's a 4th of July picture that I tried uploading yesterday to no avail! LOL!

BTW, if you haven't visited Scrap in Style TV yet, you have to check it out! I love it!!! I have my profile there now and have been uploading my layouts and seeing some beautiful work by the SISters!

Hugs to all!

My CKC Experience

I had so much fun at CKC-Ft. Lauderdale. I took some really great classes, including one with Lisa Bearnson. She was such a sweetheart and was really friendly and helpful throughout the class. Here's pic of us (I was on 3 1/2 hours of sleep that morning!)...

And here's a look at the beautiful project I created in her class, "My Simple Truth." I just added the photos yesterday! I love this file folder idea, the embellies in her class were fabulous (we got lots of extras) and the My Mind's Eye paper was delish. What do you think?

I also found tons of other goodies, and made lots more pages and mini album projects all 3 days. Some are still underway so I will share more later. This is a peek at a work in progress; it's the newest album with clear pages from Pageframe Designs. (Sorry, but the clear pages don't photograph very well.) Cool, isn't it?

Finally, I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE my new K & Co. Amy Butler tote. It was comfy, stylish and so user-friendly. I saw a lot of people using them at the convention, and so many women stopped me to ask where they can get one. Get yours while they last!

Before I go, is anyone out there missing a pink ghost letter "m"??? Maybe they lost it during the "All About Me" album class??? LOL! It fell into my tote and I found it yesterday, darling!

Hugs to all and happy scrappin!

My Scrap Room

Hi friends!

CKC-Ft. Lauderdale was awesome! I had a fabulous time, got my picture taken with a celeb, made beautiful projects and had loads of fun! Oh, and my Amy Butler tote worked perfectly! Love it! I will share more tomorrow when I download some pics (my hubby took my camera with him fishing today and I hadn't downloaded my CKC images yet!).

For now, let me share some other fun stuff with you. This is my HAPPY ROOM! I cleaned up my scrap room today and organized my projects. When I was done, I took some photos of everything before messing it up again (In case you're wondering, Richard took the small camera with him today; I shot this with our Canon EOS 20D.) Of course, I couldn't help myself so I've been scrappin away the rest of the day.

Look at all my stuff! Going through my stash and seeing all my projects makes me so happy! :-)
